IIWC/05 Prambanan Indonesia 7/8 – 22/8 CONS TRUCT. 20

Newly organized with a village of Bayat, Klaten regency, Central Java, Indonesia. Within 25 C, you will see the natural life such as farmers, ducks, rivers, goats, cows, buffalos and hills. The location is close to Prambanan temple (the famous Hindu’s temple in Indonesia) and Jombor Lake No telephone houses near the homestay and rent motorcycles will be available vehicle there. We have a plan to renovate some of 15 houses of the poor with such a friendly local people. This is as one of the local government projects to increase local people’s welfare.

W: We will have two kinds of work; the main work will be renovating the poor houses with local people and cleaning the village to welcome Independence Day of Indonesia. You will see the unique way in celebrating the day!
S: Individually, we change ourselves and collectively, we change the world.
P: Discussion, visit schools, traditional industry of making Batik and mask, work with farmers, and tourist places.
A: Home stay of the village leader and volunteers as the cooking team. Bring sleeping bag !
L: It is 300 km south of Semarang, between Solo and Yogyakarta. It will took 2 hours to go by bus from Semarang. You could see the biggest Buddhist temple in the world, Borobudur in Magelang for 1 hour taking bus from the home stay.
T: Soekarno – Hatta airport in Jakarta which will be 1 hour by plane, or 10 hours by bus and or train (economy) to Semarang.
Q: As we live with local people and others, we may learn different cultures and languages. Javanese or Indonesian speakers are very welcome there. Volunteers also need to be strong mentally and physically, adaptable, friendly, flexible, and motivated.
X: The additional fee of 150 US$ should be paid on your arrival directly.

Newly organized in Semarang city, central Java, Indonesia. Within 25 – 32,8 C, you will see an industrial place. The location is close to Sam Poo Kong temple (the famous Chinese temple in Semarang), Gombel Hill (where we could see the town), The One Thousand Doors and China old town. We have plans to campaign together with children and parents to pick garbage around Simpang Lima (the famous park in Semarang) and concentrate at training on education and broadcasting.

W: Besides environmental, we will have two kinds of focuses, education and broadcasting (radio and TV).
S: Individually, we change ourselves and collectively, we change the world.
P: Discussion, visit and teach at schools (kindergarten, senior high school, English course, institute, university), visit and teach at shelters (for handicapped, drugged, silent, aged, and street-children), and tourist places.
A: Home stays (some host families have a music studio) but please bring a sleeping bag for the weekend camp.
L: Around Semarang city, Central Java. Indonesia. It will took 2 hours to go by bus from Semarang to Yogyakarta. You could see the biggest Buddhist temple in the world, Borobudur in Magelang for 1,5 hours taking bus Semarang.
T: Soekarno – Hatta airport in Jakarta that will be 1 hour by plane, or 10 hours by bus, and train (economy for 10 hours or executive for 5 hours) to Semarang.
Q: As we live with host families, students, and fans, it will be possible to learn different cultures and languages. Javanese or Indonesian speakers are very welcome there. Volunteers also need to be strong mentally and physically, adaptable, friendly, flexible, and motivated as we will hold hard schedules with local people.
